1. Information We Collect

HerRelief may collect the following information when you use the app:

• Email address — used to send period reminders and optional weekly insights
• Cycle data — last period start date, cycle length, and period duration
• Symptom logs — flow level, cramps, mood, bloating, and other symptoms you manually enter
• Usage data — anonymized analytics to improve the app experience

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide the HerRelief service:

• Calculate and display period and ovulation predictions
• Send email reminders before your predicted period (if opted in)
• Show you personalized cycle insights
• Improve prediction accuracy over time based on your logged history

3. Data Storage

By default, all your data is stored locally on your device using your browser's localStorage. This means:

• Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable cloud sync
• Clearing your browser data will erase your HerRelief data
• If you enable cloud sync (optional), your data is securely stored in our database using industry-standard encryption

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal health data with third parties. Period.

The only exception is service providers who help us operate the app (e.g., email delivery services), who are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and may not use your data for any other purpose.

5. Email Communications

If you provide your email address, we may send:

• Period reminder emails (typically 3 days before your predicted period)
• Ovulation alerts (1 day before predicted ovulation)
• Optional weekly cycle insights

You can unsubscribe from any email at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the email or updating your settings in the app.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data at any time through the Profile tab
• Delete your data using the "Reset All Data" option in Settings
• Export your data in JSON format
• Opt out of any email communications

7. Cookies

HerRelief does not use tracking cookies. We use localStorage to store your app data locally on your device.

8. Children's Privacy

HerRelief is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy in the app and, if you have provided an email address, by sending you an email.
